Created by Farr Yacht Designs, the Beneteau First 36.7 combines a comfortable cruising platform with a serious racing yacht. This popular one-design and previous Boat of the Year winner offers racer-cruisers an ideal mix of performance, comfort, and value. Accommodations like three double cabins and a well-equipped galley enhance the cruising experience, while racers can remove the salon table and deck lockers for better maneuverability around the boat. The Beneteau 36.7's overlapping genoa allows it to be powerful in light breeze and chop. With a recommended crew of 7, the Beneteau First 36.7 emphasizes the importance of true team work while pushing the boat around the bouys. Spinnaker work involves end to end pole jibes and dousing through the front hatch. Competitive racers can also choose a package that includes rod rigging and a choice of keels and spreader rigs.
With over 400 boats sold, the Farr designed Beneteau First 36.7 has become one of the fastest growing one design Classes in North America. A graceful balance between quality, performance and value, it is no wonder so many sailors proudly sail her and smile. Features like the cascaded backstay system, coarse trim/fine tune mainsheet, and Carbo head foil allow you to get precision adjustments out of the First 36.7. Whether you race one design events or beer can races, or just enjoy cruising fast, the Beneteau First 36.7 is the boat for you!

Beneteau First 36.7 Mainsheet
This gross-trim/fine-tune setup gives you the extra power of a 24:1 purchase without sacrificing speed, so you can get precise trim out of the First 36.7's big main. Crank on the 6:1 coarse trim at the leeward mark and then use the fine-tune lead for precision adjustments upwind.
Beneteau First 36.7 Backstay
Backstay tension is second only to mainsheet trim on the First 36.7, so it's critical to have a powerful system with low-friction blocks. The maximum 48:1 backstay upgrade consists of three 2:1s and a 6:1 in a cascaded purchase. Harken Black Magic® Air Runners have captive roller bearings and vibration-dampening sideload bearings, making them ideal for the Beneteau 36.7 backstay.
Beneteau First 36.7 Carbo
For speed and control during First 36.7 headsail changes, the Carbo Racing Foil's twin wide-mouthed grooves let you have both sails up at the same time. Compared to PVC, they are lighter, lower friction, and much more impact resistant. Foils include a free chaff guard.
