The Lewmar Atlantic Portlight is made with a strong aluminium outer fram with a single welded join with a lens bonded into the frame for additional stiffness.
The small opening sizes (10,30 & 32) are CE approved for in-hull installation.
In the Flush Mitre Portlight the acrylic has been moved as far forward
as possible to make it approximately flush with the mounting surface, to
do this 12 mm acrylic is used where portlights normally use 8 to 10 mm.
The outer frame as been made as flat as possible and the angled
face of the Standard Portlight as been removed. This has increased
the quantity of alloy in the frame. The outer frame is powder coat
black in colour to camouflage to the acrylic lens; this is more costly
than the anodising that is normally used.
With its highly polished stainless outer frame, the Stainless Portlight will really shine on your boat. The
handles and hinge system were designed to leave the lens clear of obstructions, giving it an uncluttered view
and a clean, modern look.
