Croatia is a small Mediterranean country that has been drawing a lot of attention lately in the sailing scene. There are more than 1000 beautiful islands in the waters of Croatia, one of the most popular ones being the Central Dalmatian islands in the south, or the Kornati archipelago on the other side. One of the must-see destinations when visiting, have to be the Croatian beaches, filled with golden sand and tame waves, some of them are hidden and can be only reached by boat. Their shores meet with the Adriatic, known for being a fairly shallow sea, with depths of 50 meters maximum with a temperature reach of 25+ oC in the summer, which in addition to the crystal clear water, allows you to see the floor even at 15 meters. Visiting Croatia is a different experience from the normal beach vacation. It's not only about their bea- ches, since you will be drawn to their culture, their amazing architecture, ancient arenas, palaces, and stunning cathedrals that remain of old cities.

3 French Rivera

Cote d'Azur is one of the world's most popular destinations thanks to their unique and exotic beaches. 4 Bahamas

The Bahamas is the one of the most beautiful places to go sailing. You will have no trouble finding plenty of sandy beaches and bays to explore. The Abaco Island and Exuma are the most visited places in the Bahamas; with shores the color of watercolors surrounded by clear water so there's no need to snorkeling to see all the marine fauna. You have the chances to explore corals, see huge rays, or nurse sharks right at your fingertips. Sailing across the banks can be tricky, so be careful not to get too distracted by places waiting to be discovered, like the Thunderball Grotto, one of the favorite picks of sailors.

5 Lake Garda

Lake Garda is a stunning lake located in Northern Italy, which came to life when a huge glacier ripped down and cut through the valley. It usually has good temperature, surrounding you with sunshine and a light breeze pushing all day. Your boat will be gently pushed by the Peler during sunrise (northern wind blowing from early hours to 11 am) and by the Ora at dawn (southern wind blowing until late afternoon). The lake's water comes melting snow that covers the mountains, which is why it can reach low temperatures, especially during spring and winter, though by mid-May, the waters start to heat up.
