Cladi World Tour

"It has been a dream of mine since I was a child to sail the oceans like the great explorers. Over the past year, I decided to make that dream become a reality."

Bradley Cladianos has the dream to sail all the world but he is staring step by step, he first is gonna complete the America's Great Loop.

This is he's story.

"It has been a dream of mine since I was a child to sail the oceans like the great explorers. Over the past year, I decided to make that dream become a reality. While attending Arizona State University where I majored in Sustainability, I joined the Arizona Yacht Club (AYC). First step, to be a sailor, I needed to be around sailors! Shortly after joining, I started crewing on some of the members' boats and learned to love it! While taking my US Sailing Adult Learn to Sail Cours I met a fellow AYC Member who. along with a partner, own and operate Tiller and Kites. Tiller and Kites is an Arizona sailing school, seller, and refurbisher of boats as pictured below. They both believed in my dream, and provided me the tools necessary to succeed. I can not thank them enough for all their patience and guidance. Without those two I would not be able to proudly declare that I am currently living my dream. They donated an old Cal 21 which I learned to rebuild. Although the Cal 21 needed a lot of work, I had great mentors helping me along the way. I picked up many skills in return: painting, waxing, bu ng, wood refurbishing, cabinetry, san- ding, winch maintenance, shroud tuning, rigging and many other mis- cellaneous tasks.

My dream of sailing the world is still alive and well! However, I need to walk before I can run. First, I will sail the refurbished Cal 21 on the Ameri- can Great Loop down the intercostal canals to the Gulf of Mexico starting November 2017. After I have expe- rience on the river, the next part of the journey will begin. My plan is to meet the many other cruisers making their way to the gulf with the intent of meeting others who can connect me with long distance cruisers. I hope this experience on Cladi Kai will lead me closer to sailing the vast oceans with my new found contacts from the intercostal!"

Bradley has already traveled 200 miles down the Tennessee River. He is in a canal that connects the Tennessee River to the Gulf of Mexico. To follow his trip visit his blog or his youtube channel.
