Lewmar Synchro Footblocks
For low-load Lewmar footblocks,
you'll want composite sheaves and friction cams. For high load, alloy
sheaves and spring cams. The jammer holding load
is no more than 300 kg / 660 lb. Be sure you don't load the upper sheave
beyond 60% of the Safe Working Load.
Synchro blocks from Lewmar are engineered for speed, efficiency and
superior handling. These blocks suit a range of purposes from performance
cruising
yachts
to specific high-load low-movement applications on racing sailboats.
Lewmar uses a combination of scientifically optimised
block geometry, a Free-Spin bearing and self-aligning head to reduce
friction and increase efficiency by up to 40% over budget blocks on
mainsheet systems.
Sheaves run on Torlon rollers
with dual Delrin ball side thrust races. Alloy sheaves, alloy bayonet
cheeks
for simply servicing. Safe working
loads are quoted for the whole assembly.
