To fix the Micro Compass to a mast drop the slug into the mast slot through the gate using a tool to catch the slug at the desired height; fix the slug in place with a single bolt.
Offer up the bracket, attaching loosely to the slug with the second bolt, now remove and refit the first bolt, tighten both bolts.
Bracket is then a permanent fixture. Simply attach Micro Compass clip bracket by means of the 4 stainless nuts and bolts. The compass may be clipped on and off each time you sail.
