When selecting your Vang-Master, there are two primary considerations:

• The Length of the Boom: Longer or heavier booms require more pneumatic support from the vang. If your boom is long or heavy for the size boat, select the vang with a greater capacity.

• The weight of a fully battened mainsail: Fully battened mainsails weigh more than conventional mains. If your main is fully battened, select the vang with greater capacity.
