Anchor, Ropes and other Anchor Accessories

About Samson Ropes

ropes Samson has been recognized as the leader in developing and manufacturing braided ropes. Today, Samson engineers are using the same Nylon and Polypropylene fibers together with newer developments in fiber technology like Kevlar, and HMWPE fibers like Spectra, Dyneema and Technora.

About Yale Cordage

ropesAt Yale Cordage, sailing is more than a pastime. It's an obsession. Yale thinks about rope. Yale talks about rope. And every single day of the year, Yale works to develop the best, most advanced ropes in the industry. Ropes so advanced they're found at every level of the sailing spectrum — from pond-skimming dinghies to globe-circumnavigating trimarans — and everywhere in between.

About New England Ropes

New England Ropes utilize many different types of constructions. Most people recognize three strand, single braid and double braid as the basic methods of twisting or braiding fibers into a finished line. The process of twisting fibers by its very nature reduces strength and increases stretch. New England Ropes, pioneered a fourth construction technique called parallel (fiber) core construction (Sta-Set X). By keeping the fibers in parallel, they align the fibers with little or no twist. New England patented anchor, ropes, linesconstruction technique of wrapping the core and braiding a cover produces a line that will have higher strength and significantly less stretch than a comparable single or double braid. Innovation, experience, and high standards of quality are what New England Ropes set apart from the field.

The challenge is to blend the fiber's characteristics and years of design and manufacturing experience into finished products that perform to your exacting standards. Those standards depend on your particular application and expectations.

Predictability and control of strength, stretch and durability are the ultimate goals for rope performance of all boaters. The choice of materials, construction techniques and years of experience makes New England Ropes the leader in rope technology. Top
