Harken Shackles

Forged: The beautiful stainless steel shackles that Harken uses on their blocks are available separately.

Harken Stamped Shackles fit a wide variety of blocks and make them removable. Many use a snap shackle on the lower vang block so that it can be moved from the mast base to the toerail to use it as a preventer.

Tylaska Shackles

Tylaska shackles provide discriminating sailors with the ultimate in strength, performance, and durability. They are the standard for cutting edge racing and cruising sailboats throughout the world. Tylaska Shackles can be found on many of the boats in the America's Cup, the Volvo Around the World Race, Fastnet Racing Series, and Key West and Block Island Race Week series.

Wichard Shackles

Wichard's technological expertise, visionary thinking and constant concern with safety have made us the reference in marine fittings. Broad product range designed and manufactured in Wichard's own forges. Wichard products are really different. Shackles are hot forged for safety, and they have other features (captive pin, self-locking, key pin or Allen key).

"HR" (high resistance) shackles are forged from 17.4 PH stainless steel thereby giving very high mechanical performances. These parts are used extensively in commercial marine applications such as oil rigs, material handling equipment, naval and commercial vessels as well as by premier ocean racers.
