Racing Blocks:
Two types of sailboat block are available: one with roller bearings for rapid sheet trim and the other with plain bearings for high static loads.
Construction: Monocoque construction offers the best strength to weight ratio by incorporating the head block and bearing surface into the cheeks.
Bayonet Fixing: Patented bayonet fixing means that central fastenings are not required and only two locating screws are needed in the head, further reducing weight and improving performance.
Cheeks: Flush fixings and radiused edges produce snag free cheeks with engraved logo and block size.
Shackle: The three position shackle post has a drilled out head for further weight reduction.
Bearings: Torlon rollers and Delrin side thrust balls provide optimum bearing for rapid line handling.
Torlon rollers on blocks above 80mm: Captive Delrin side thrust balls will not drop out when sheave is removed.
Lewmar blocks are specified for racing sailboats such as the Mumm 30 and other high performance sailboats.
