Shackles are hot forged for safety, and they have other features (captive pin, self-locking, key pin or Allen key).

Wichard Shackles / HR

"HR" (high resistance) shackles are forged from 17.4 PH stainless steel thereby giving very high mechanical performances. These parts are used extensively in commercial marine applications such as oil rigs, material handling equipment, naval and commercial vessels as well as by premier ocean racers.

Wichard Shackles / Key Pin (patented)

Key pin offer many advantages. The pin can easily be opened by a single half turn, but remains captive within the body of the shackle, it cannot be lost. The bar allows the line, thimble or grommet to remain attached to the shackle. To make use easier, this bar is removable. The "HR" pin version is recommended for the mainsail halyard.

Wichard Shackles / Thimble (patented)

This patented thimble shackle is strong, light and compact. Rope can be spliced directly over the glass fiber reinforced polypropylene molded shape. This eliminates the use of an additional thimble. Available with a captive pin for halyards or with Allen pin for clew points (Snag free connetion).
