Tame your main with a Harken® Battcar traveler system. These low-friction assemblies feature recirculating ball bearing cars to allow quick hoists and reefs on all points of sail. Most importantly, the main douses instantly from the safety of the cockpit.

Harken Battcar AA CB

Use system AA CB Battcars on boats under 35 ft (11m). The free-rolling ball bearing cars let you hoist and reef the main quickly and efficiently on all points of sail. Cars are easily removed from the track by freeing the screw pin endstop and sliding them off. Stainless steel wire guides keep the balls captive when the car is of the track.

Use System A CB Battcars on boats from 34 to 48 ft (8 to 15m). The free-rolling ball bearing cars let you hoist and reef the main quickly and efficiently on all points of sail. Cars are easily removed from the track by freeing the screw pin endstop and sliding them off. Stainless steel wire guides keep the balls captive when the car is off the track.

Use System B CB Battcars on monohulls with mainsails less than 800 ft2 (74 m2) or multihulls with mainsails less than 650 ft2 (60 m2). The free-rolling Torlon® ball bearing cars let you hoist and reef the main quickly and efficiently on all points of sail. The easy-to-use quick-release system lets you load and remove the mainsail quickly. Stainless steel wire guides keep the balls captive when the car is off the track.

Harken Battcar Track & Accessories

Drill-free track mounts to mast using a unique slug system that allows mast-up installation. Slugs are available for flat or round mast grooves. If the mast does not have internal sail track, attach track by drilling and tapping the spar. Use flanged CB track when mounting to carbon spars. Track features a bolt rope groove so racing sails or storm trysails may be used.

Harken Furling Mainsail Outhaul Block

Use furling outhaul cars with in-mast or behind-the-mast furlers on boats to 45 ft (13.5 m). Sheave carriers pivot side-to-side to accommodate changing lead angles. Systems have 2:1 purchases and ride on cars with Torlon® ball bearings. A dead-end outhaul shackle is included.

The 1615 Midrange car has an axle-bearing sheave. Use on boats with mainsails to 300 ft2 (28 m2). The sheave on the 595 Big Boat car uses Torlon® rollers. Use on boats with mainsails to 425 ft2 (40 m2).
