Bearing box from racing to cruising
Jean-Luc Van Den Heede who broke the wes-about solo non-stop record, fitted two Facnor systems on his aluminum cutter "Adrein". What is the difference between Jean-Luc's custom reefing system and the new Facnor LS & LX Jib Furler range? His used Carbon, your system is in Aluminum, but both are fitted with the same type of bearing in the drum and the swivel. This "bearing box" allows an easy rotation of the system, even under high loads. The concept of the "bearing box" with two larger polymer bearing was tested during the Vendee Globe races.
Now the same technology from offshore racing is available for every boat thanks to Facnor's continuous development.
